I came to see Aniela after having a horrible high lite experience. I was greeted immediately and offered refreshments. The salon is so inviting. The staff so friendly. Aniela is an extremely talented artist and made me look better than anything you see in a magazine. Treated me like a queen and I'm heading back this week for more pampering. This salon is the best!!!

After 22 years at some of the most well known salons in NYC I made a change. I was tired of the huge costs and as a working mom it just didn't fit into my schedule. Gone were the days of lounging all day Saturday at the salon then heading for dinner & drinks. I found the Gerber Salon accidentally and started reading bios. As soon as I hit Linda I knew I found the one for me. She had a history at Oribe (where my hair journey started 22 years earlier) and extensive print experience. I knew she would "know" EXACTLY what I wanted in a salon experience and EXACTLY how I wanted to look walking out. I booked my appt in advance and eagerly awaited it. Linda exceeded my every expectation. As a matter of fact she'd given me the relaxing high end salon experience I haven't had for years at the high end NYC salons. She's a pro. She managed the client schedules like a pro and her assistant Christie (an extremely beautiful & sweet girl) gave me the best head massage ever. As for my hair...PERFECTION...from the color to the cut. I got up this morning tousled a few strands with a dryer and off I went. I gauge a good cut on how little time it takes me to style & how good it looks on day #2. Linda restored me to my days of barely having to run a brush through it to walk out the door. The voluminous pieces that just road map to where they were cut to be placed are back...that "sexy" hair look with a little modern edge. Linda has a new client and I've already booked her weeks out. On top of it she's a genuinely down to earth great person. The salon itself was super friendly, comfortable, welcoming & I loved the selection of products particularly the Oribe products. Can't wait to go back!!!

I'm from NYC and have a stylist there I go to regularly, but I'm too busy for the next week and was desperate for a bangtrim- I live in Keyport now but was clueless about salons- went to the post office, saw this place across the street, googled it, read reviews, took a deep breath and in I went- boy was I surprised!What a hidden gem this place! Busy as all get out- trendy and chic stylists and clients- homey yet maverick decor and product- Melissa trimmed my bangs and shaped my brows- she was perfection- I sincerely cannot wait to need my next haircut- I'm going to Melissa! (I'll have to cheat on my NYC gal-oooops)--

Today I found a gem right in my own neighborhood! Desperate for a good haircut, I searched on line and found a place that I have passed thousands of times, but never took much note of.  Gerber Salon itself is charming; a beautiful old house transformed into a very functional and unique salon setting. The staff was friendly and accommodating.  I left there not just happy with my new hair, but thrilled that I have a local salon that I will be happy to be loyal to from now on. Thank you!

I lived at the Jersey shore for 22 years.  I was transferred to Los Angeles a year ago and sadly had to switch salons. After 2 failed salons here, my hair began to fall out.  I flew back to NJ and Gerber Salon.  My hair thanked me and everyone said "Your hair never looked better"!!!

I do fly for an airline so the ticket was free but taking time off to fly there and drive an hour to the salon from the airport isn't easy.  It is worth it though.  Never again will I let anyone but Lauren and Jess at Gerber Salon touch my hair.  

I highly recommend this salon.

Linda is amazing for both color and cuts. I have had my hair done by some of the top people in NYC (Oscar Blandi, etc). Her expertise rivals any of these. Great, friendly atmosphere in the salon as well!

An old, dear friend from high school recommended this salon, so i tried it.    First, i asked for my dark roots to be covered (and a few gray hairs), then i wanted to try Balayage highlights.  Their colorist, Lauren, talked to me about the look i wanted and what she felt would look good.  We settled on medium highlights throughout the front of my hair, framing my face, a few in the middle, and less in the back.   The process went very well and the shampoo girl gave me a relaxing scalp massage.  

I'm very excited to return to this salon in 2 months to get more Balayage highlights!!

As a client for 12 years, I must say I will not venture to another salon even with my recent move to NY. Not only do you get excellent customer service at Gerber Salon, but they have created a chic, inviting environment that makes you feel special the minute you walk through the door. They also keep their employees updated on the newest hair trends by sending them to several training class a year at Bumble and Bumble. My hairdresser, Erika Case, is not only phenomonal at what she does, but is also the network educator at the salon. She does a wonderful job at developing classes for her colleages and mentoring the newer stylists.With these steps the owners Bob and Lorraine take for their business, it's absolutely positive that you are being handled by a true professional. 

Definitely take the chance and try them out, you won't regret it!!!

8 years and counting! Lorraine does my color and Shannon does the cut. When you enter the salon you are immediately greeted with a smile.  Lorraine is a master at color. She is there for you to look your best. Shannon gives me such an amazing cut each and every time! I can tell you that each and every stylist for color and cuts is amazingly talented. I highly recommend Gerber Salon.
